Conway Calls For Obligatory Sight Loss Advisors In Hospitals

Clare’s Senator insist that sight loss advisers should be obligatory in all the hospital groups across the country.

Martin Conway, who is partially sighted, wants to see these dedicated officers employed to ensure there is early intervention for those suffering sight loss.

The Department of Health has assured the Seanad that access officers are in place in acute hospitals, while saying communication with patients is key in ensuring accessibility to services.
