Concern Over Two Million Euro Bill For Shannon Residents

The Chair of Clare’s Housing Committee has raised serious concern over a two million euro bill facing homeowners in a Shannon estate.

240 homeowners and investors in the Bru na Sionna housing estate, will have to fork out 2.25 million euro in total to cover fire safety and other defects discovered by engineers appointed after the developers went into receivership.

Clare County Council’s Fire Officer got involved in November and a schedule of work has been set out to be started in March.
