Concern Over How Agriculture Show Funding Is Rolled Out

The Chair of Clare’s largest agricultural show is expressing concern about the way in which funding is rolled out to shows across the country.

The Department of Agriculture has allocated some €600,000 to help finance 120 agricultural shows around Ireland, including many in Clare.

Each show is eligible for a grant of €5,000, but they’re also required to be a member of the Irish Show Association.
