Clonlara Residents “Not Out Of Woods Yet” As Water Begins To Recede

A resident of Springfield, Clonlara says they are far from out of the woods, as water levels begin to recede.

The area has been battling its second flood in the past four years as a record-breaking wet February saw the River Shannon’s banks overflowing.

This time around, Clare County Council, the Civil Defence and the army have been on hand around the clock and mammoth efforts ensured that just one home let water in.
