Clare’s footballers began their new season yesterday afternoon. However it didn’t go the way Colm Collins side wanted.
Rathkeale was the venue where they faced Limerick in their first outing of this year’s McGrath Cup.
There was no separating the sides at the break with the half-time score Clare 1-03 and Limerick 0-06.

In the second half Limerick moved ahead and despite a second goal from Keelan Sexton, Clare could not get ahead with Limerick emerging winners on a final scoreline Clare 2-06 Limerick 0-14.
