Clare To Face Cork In Munster Hurling Final

Clare will meet Cork in the Munster Senior Hurling Final after the Rebels beat Waterford in their semi-final this evening.

The Reds beat Derek McGrath’s side by five points in a thrilling game in Thurles’ Semple Stadium.

The two sides traded scores in the first half before Maurice Shanahan struck a goal for the Déise on 45 minutes. Kieran Kingston’s Cork charges kept the scoreboard ticking over however and the final score there was Waterford 1-15, Cork 0-23

Cork will return to Semple Stadium on July 9th for their clash with Clare – who are in the final for the first time since 2008 after a 3-17 to 2-16 win over Limerick two weeks ago.
