Clare Cruise Into All Ireland Minor Camogie Final

Clare have booked their spot in the 2017 All Ireland Minor Camogie Final.

They got off to the perfect start with a goal from Aine O’Loughlin inside the opening two minutes, before Aoife Power and O’Loughlin landed points to leave the Banner 1-2 to 0-0 ahead.

Dublin responded with a free which was answered by Evelyn Duggan, and Aine O’Loughlin pounced for her second goal on 14 minutes to leave Clare well in control at 2-3 to 0-1.

Power stretched the lead even further, with the Dubs hitting the next two scores.

Another point came for the Banner girls to leave the half time score Clare 2-5 Dublin 0-3.

After the break Laura Foley hit two points for Clare either side of a Dublin score to leave it Clare 2-7 Dublin 0-4 with 36 minutes on the clock.

Aine O’Loughlin then completed her hat trick to put the game beyond any doubt with 20 minutes to play.

Dublin responded with two more frees, with the sides trading scores once more to leave it Clare 3-9 Dublin 0-8 inside the closing ten minutes.

Two more unanswered scores came from Clare through O’Loughlin and Foley with the Dubs finding the range once more in the closing minute before Clare finished the scoring.

The full time score of Clare 3-12 Dublin 0-9 sees the Banner into a first decider since 2010 and their fourth in total.

They’ll meet either Cork or Galway who play tomorrow in Semple Stadium at 2pm.
