Clare County Council Could Introduce Smoking Ban In Playgrounds

Hopes have expressed that smoking will be banned in all public playgrounds in Clare.

A number of county councillors are calling for a prohibition on smoking in all local authority-operated public facilities in the interest of public health.

They’ve been told that it can be considered under the upcoming ‘Healthy Clare Strategy’, while the local authority can approve a such a move for publicly owned playgrounds.
