Corofin and Eire Óg are safely into the Quarter Finals of the Clare Senior Football Championship.

Second half goals from Eoin Davoren and Jamie Malone helped Corofin to beat Lissycasey by 2-9 to 1-9.

Eire Óg meanwhile were comprehensive winners over St Breckans on a 4-24 to 0-9 scoreline.

The Clare Intermediate Football Championship will now need a playoff to determine the placings for the semi finals.

In Group One, Clarecastle gave a walkover to Liscannor meaning scoring difference cannot be used to determine who finishes second

Shannon Gaels recorded victory over Kilkee to go through as group winners with Kilkee and Liscannor level on points.

Those two sides will now have to playoff to determine who take the other semi final spot from that group.

Kilrush are safely into the semi finals from Group Two as winners after beating Naomh Eoin by 2-10 to 0-8.

The game between Coolmeen and Kildysart was abandoned after an injury suffered by a player required an ambulance to be called and with fading light it was agreed to call of the remainder of the match.
