The Chairperson of Clare Bus is confident an ongoing row between the local transport company and the NTA can be resolved, now that a mediator has been appointed.

Clare’s five Oireachtas members have received confirmation that a mediation process will get underway to resolve the rift over money owed, though no timeline has yet been given.

The National Transport Authority met with the county’s TDs and Senator last week via video conference, in a bid to bring about a resolution to the matter.

A new procurement process begins on Thursday for nine routes, and Chairperson of Clare Bus, Ger Hoey has been telling Clare FM’s Fiona Cahill that they’re hopeful they will be in a position to submit a bid for tender.
