Clare Advance To Munster Minor Football Semi Final

Clare are just 60 minutes away from a place in the Munster Minor Football Final.

It’s after they got the better of Tipperary in their playoff clash

The 0-10 to 0-5 win set the Banner up for a showdown against Limerick in two weeks time.

Clare led by 0-5 to 0-2 at the break, with two frees each from Paudie Kelly and Gavin Cooney along with one from Dermot Coughlan making up their first half total.

After the break, Kelly and Cooney continued to dominate the scoring stakes with Cooney hitting three more from play and Kelly landing two more frees.

At one stage, the gap stood at 0-7 to 0-5 as Tipperary threatened a comeback, but the final three scores came from Clare to seal their passage.

They now take on Limerick for a place in the Munster Final, and with it, passage to the All Ireland Quarter Final.

That game will be played at the Gaelic Grounds on Wednesday May 10th.
