The Mayor of Ennis is calling for a speedy conclusion to the transfer of 21 West Clare social houses into the ownership of Clare County Council.
The homes were are still under the ownership of Rural Resettlement Ireland, a former Clare-based rural housing charity which disbanded a year ago amid financial difficulties.
Now it’s feared that families who sought help from the organisation to relocate to rural Clare are being left in limbo while the ownership of these houses is up in the air.
