The HSE has been called on to acknowledge an urgent need to establish a primary healthcare center in Kilrush.
Plans are already progressing for four new centres in this county – two in Ennis and one each in Ennistymon and Sixmilebridge.
But it’s led to fresh fear that people on the Loop Head peninsula will continue face a lengthy drive to University Hospital Limerick when they’re ill.
