Call For More Funding To Fix Private Roads And Boreens In Clare

There are calls in Clare for the government to allocate more funding to this county to carry out repairs on private roads and boreens here.

Last year saw almost €870,000 awarded to Clare under the Local Improvement Scheme, for roads not covered by the usual local authority repairs.

So far this year, the first round of funding saw close to half a million euro granted to Clare and the County Council is to liaise with the government to maximize funding opportunities.
