Bugler Confident Clare Will Deal With Wexford Sweeper System

A former All Ireland winning Clare defender feels the Banner will be able to deal with the Wexford system in Saturday’s All Ireland Hurling Quarter Final.

The Model County will be led by 2013 All Ireland wining Clare manager Davy Fitzgerald who will be going up against a number of the players he managed to glory on that night.

It’s expected Wexford will operate with a spare man at the back in the sweeper role while the middle third of the pitch will be flooded to cut down on space.

Two time All Star Brendan Bugler feels Clare’s inside knowledge of how Fitzgerald sets teams up could be crucial.

Meanwhile two time All Ireland winner with Clare Seanie McMahon feels a psychical battle awaits the Banner in Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

The St Josephs clubman says a tough opponent awaits.
