Bugler Concerned By Demands Placed On Intercounty Players

A two time Clare hurling All Star fears the demands being placed on intercounty players will lead to shortened careers at the top level.

2017 saw Brendan Bugler bring the curtain down on his time in the saffron and blue having represented the Banner for 11 years, winning an All Ireland and League title in the process.

The Whitegate man has expressed his concern that younger panel members could be in danger of burnout in later years with an ever increasing workload being placed on players.

Bugler says it could lead to players finishing their intercounty careers a lot sooner than was previously the case.
