Clondegad’s Gary Brennan feels a strong relationship between the Clondegad and Ballyea clubs has played a huge role in the success of both in recent years.

2016 saw Ballyea claim a first ever Clare Senior Hurling title with several of that squad set to feature in Sunday’s Clare Senior Football Final.

The county captain says it benefits all concerned to maintain that relationship

Meanwhile one of Kilmurry’s most experienced players is hopeful another county final appearance will help continue to grow the clubs underage structures.

Shane Hickey will take his place in the Kilmurry defence on Sunday, with his brothers Darren and Niall also set to feature.

Hickey says while they’ve been lucky to play in several county finals with the club, its never an experience they take for granted.
