Breen: Fix Ennis Damage Before Any More Broadband Works Are Done

Clare County Council is being called on to ban ongoing broadband works in Ennis until damage left behind by contractors is fixed.

Residents in the Hermitage have claimed their footpaths and some external walls of their houses have been damaged recently during works by Virgin Media.

It follows similar concerns raised in a number of other areas around Ennis in recent weeks – though Virgin’s contractor, Actavo, says all damage caused during works will be repaired within 10 days of an area being affected.

Ennis Independent Councillor James Breen wants it fixed before any further work takes place.
