Clare have been knocked out of the Munster U21 Hurling Championship.
John Carmody’s side lost out to Limerick in their semi final tie at the Gaelic Grounds.
The 1-28 to 1-15 defeat sees Clare’s campaign at this grade come to an end.
Limerick stormed out of the blocks and by the 10th minute were 1-7 to 0-2 clear with Peter Casey finding the back of the Clare net.
Billy Connors struck for the Banner to cut that gap, but the Limerick response was swift, and they led 1-14 to 1-5 at the break.
Five points in a row after the restart saw Clare trail by 1-15 to 1-10 with 20 minutes left to play.
From here it was all Limerick, and they outscored the Banner by 0-13 to 0-5 in the closing stages to take a thirteen point win.
The victory for Limerick sees them into the Munster Final, where they’ll face either Cork or Waterford.
