Simon Cowell has threatened to dock his X Factor contestants' future pay after reports they trashed his luxury rented villa in Spain. The hopefuls - who were in Marbella to impress Simon at boot camp - are said to have caused damage to precious carpets and designer furniture. They have also been accused of drinking Cowell's stock of vintage champagne and imported beer, and keeping him up into the early hours through their noisy antics. The pop mogul has admitted they did wake him up and says he might charge them for the clean-up in future to teach them a lesson.

Legendary guitarist Slash has filed for divorce from his wife of nearly nine years, blaming "irreconcilable differences". The 45-year-old, whose real name is Saul Hudson, is best known for playing with Guns 'N' Roses and Velvet Revolver. He and his estranged wife Perla are seeking joint custody of their two sons, aged eight and six.

If you're a fan of Coronation Street, prepare to see the residents of Weatherfield as you've never seen them before. With just months to go until the soap celebrates its 50th birthday, cast members have posed for a Vanity Fair style photoshoot to promote a series of new storylines. Soap bosses are planning a life-changing tram crash on the street in December. The ITV1 show is the most watched soap so far this year averaging 9.9 million viewers per episode for the first half of 2010.

PORTER

Gail Porter has recreated the naked pose which made her a household name 11 years ago. The cheeky photo of the television presenter was beamed on to the Houses of Parliament in 1999 as a publicity stunt for FHM magazine. The 39-year-old - who suffered hair loss for several years - says she agreed to strip off again to show she's finally comfortable in her own skin. The photos will appear in Now magazine.

BIG BROTHER

Two housemates will leave the UItimate Big Brother house in a double eviction on Friday. Nick, Makosi, Chantelle, Nadia, Nikki and Ulrika all face the public vote after being nominated. The contestants have been put through their paces with tasks from series gone by; including brushing their teeth with tofu and drinking ice shots. Meanwhile, Chantelle has been in tears over her break-up with fellow housemate Preston. She's admitted she should have got therapy instead of cosmetic surgery when they split. She says she's only just realising that she never really got over their break-up - now they're back in the house together.
