Entertainment Update - August 18th 2010

BIG BROTHER FLOOD
Big Brother Housemates have been evacuated from the house after it become flooded. All 9 contestants were forced to leave the TV set for a nearby hotel - the first time the house has been left empty in the history of the show. The flood was caused by exceptional weather conditions which caused water to start pouring into the house in what was described as a 'freak incident'.

AVATAR SEX
James Cameron has revealed that he re-inserted a sex scene into the forthcoming re-release of Avatar. The alien love making was removed from the initial release of the sci-fi blockbuster after getting a negative reaction from test audiences. Cameron has described the scene between stars Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana as "alien foreplay", noting that it lasts "all of about 20 seconds" - sounds pretty familiar.

CERA IN TOWN
Funny man Michael Cera's new film Scott Pilgrim Versus The World premiers in London tonight. The actor from films including Juno and Superbad, plays a teenager whose new girlfriend has 7 ex-boyfriends who want to kill him. He stars alongside the Oscar-nominated actress Anna Kendrick, who plays his sister.

CHERYL SELLS COLE
Cheryl Cole is to sell the mansion she shared with her cheating ex husband Ashley. The X Factor judge is putting the 3.5 million pound house in Surrey on the market. The Geordie bought the historic mansion two years ago, and it's thought she'll now downsize to somewhere in West London.

KITTEN FOR KAT
Eastenders character Kat Slater lands back in Albert Square next month - with a bump. Kat - played by Jessie Wallace - will announce that she's pregnant, and bosses are staying tight-lipped as to who is the father. All fans of the show know is that Kat has just come back from America with Alfie Moon - but Alfie, played by Shane Ritchie, may not be the daddy.

3D PEEP
Peep show star David Mitchell is to become the first British comedian to film his stand up show in 3D. The next episode of his 'soapbox' online rant will be filmed entirely in the 3D format. The theme of the show is to be how useless the viewing format is.
