LINDSAY LOHAN

Lindsay Lohan's already had her jail sentence cut short, now she could get out of rehab early too. One of the prosecutors working on the actress's drink-drive probation case has said she may leave the clinic on doctors' orders before her three months are up. Prison overcrowding in LA meant Li-Lo was released from jail earlier this month after serving just 13 days of a 90 sentence.

PARIS HILTON

Paris Hilton's lawyers say she'll fight her 35 million dollar hair extension lawsuit every step of the way. A company's accusing the heiress of breaking her contract with them to wear fake locks made by a competitor instead. Paris's people have denied the claims and say she might even decide to countersue.

CORONATION STREET

If you're a Corrie fan, get ready for a cat fight between two of the Street's longest-standing residents tonight. Deirdre and Gail come to blows over smooth-talking cad Lewis Archer - played by Nigel Havers. Lewis - who's meant to be moving abroad with Gail's mum Audrey - has shared an elicit kiss with Deirdre, who ends up with a face full of cake after the bust-up on the cobbles.

WYCLEF JEAN

Wyclef Jean says he hopes he'll be a "breath of fresh air" for Haiti if he's elected president later this year. The hip hop superstar - who was born in Port-au-Prince - is hugely popular in his homeland and analysts predict he'll win the vote if he's allowed to stand. Wyclef says it's time for the earthquake-shattered nation to put itself on the map for the right reasons.

HUGH LAURIE

Hugh Laurie is the highest paid actor in a US television drama, according to a survey. The British star, who's made his name over the pond as the grumpy doctor in House, earns 255-thousand pounds per episode. But he's far behind the top earners in Hollywood. Charlie Sheen - who's in the comedy category - gets
£800,000 for each episode of Two and a Half Men.
