CORRIE MOVES TO THE BBC
BBC Four has announced an all-star cast for a drama about Coronation Street's 'origins'. Former Eastender Jessie Wallace is set to go from Kat to Pat - playing the part of Pat Phoenix, the actress who played the 'tart with a heart' Elsie Tanner. Other iconic characters used in the one off special include Ena Sharples, Annie Walker and Ken Barlow - the only original cast member still in the soap. The show is being filmed to commemorate the soap's 50th anniversary and will tell the story of how Coronation Street was born and how it brought Salford to life on television screens around the world.
BIG BROTHER
Dave, Sunshine and Shabby were put up for eviction again from the Big Brother house. It is the third consecutive week that wannabe actress Shabby and minister Dave have been selected for the public vote. However, there will be another 'Save and Replace' challenge later, which will allow the trio one final chance to escape eviction and choose another housemate to take their place.
SKINT BROTHER
Ex-Big Brother contestants have agreed to re-enter the house for just 30 pounds a day. The wannabes will appear over a fortnight in August for the last ever BB twist. It will see the winner of the current series crowned in a surprise final at the end of August - before they are made to spend another two weeks in the house in a bid to be crowned to 'ultimate champion'. Already signed up for just over a pound an hour are Nikki Grahame, Brian Belo and Mikey Hughes.
NOT A LOAD OF BULLOCKS
Sandra Bullock's divorce from Jesse James has been made official. The pair have filed papers in Texas to finalise their divorce after almost five years of marriage. The documents have cited 'discord or conflict of personalities' as the reason for their split. Bullock split from her husband in April following reports of an 11-month relationship with a tattoo model called Michelle 'Bombshell' McGee.
HARRY'S BACK
It's an exciting day for Harry Potter fans as the trailer for the latest - and final - instalment of the series is released. It sees Harry come closer than ever before to his arch-enemy Lord Voldermort. The trailer provides a taste of what to expect in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - which will be released as two films. The first part will arrive in cinemas at the end of this year, with the second part to follow in the middle of 2011. It is based on the seventh and final book in JK Rowling's series

Lady Gaga has leapt straight into number four in a list of the 100 most powerful people in Showbiz ahead of U2 and Madonna. The rankings by Forbes magazine make Oprah Winfrey the most powerful celebrity. The British actor Robert Pattinson has gone in at Number 50 for his roles in the Twilight films.
DR WHO
Some of Doctor Who's most fearsome foes have been added to the line-up of a live tour of the show. The Scarecrows and the Venetian Vampires will join the the Daleks, Cybermen and Weeping Angels set to take part in on-stage battles. Star Matt Smith will also be seen in specially-filmed scenes which will feature
in the show. 'Doctor Who Live' will visit a number of arena venues later this year.
