NEW HOUSEMATES FOR BB

Three new housemates will enter the Big Brother house during tonight's live shows. It was supposed to be eviction night, but that's been cancelled because Caoimhe (KEY-VA) unexpectedly quit the show and Keeley was taken to hospital after hurting her ankle. Six potential new contestants will turn up with their bags packed, but only three will be picked to join the reality show.

MASTERING THE NORTHERN ACCENT

Ex-EastEnder Jessie Wallace has confessed she was worried about mastering a northern accent for a drama about rival soap Coronation Street. The actress, who used to play Albert Square's Kat Moon, says she "religiously" watched YouTube footage to get it right. She's been cast as legendary Corrie star Pat Phoenix in a one-off BBC Four special about the birth of the Weatherfield serial.

BEATLES PIANO

A piano, used by the Beatles to work on some of their most famous tracks is being auctioned. The battered instrument - covered in coffee stains and cigarette burns - is expected to fetch over a hundred thousand pounds. The fab four used it to compose Paperback Writer, Tomorrow Never Knows, Old Brown Shoe and Ob-La-di, Ob-La-Do at Abbey Road studios in London.

CHANELLE GIVES BIRTH

Following in the footsteps of celeb mums like Dannii Minogue, ex Big Brother contestant Chanelle Hayes has announced the birth of her child via Twitter. The glamour model posted on the social networking site: 'Happiest day of my life. I'm a mummy and my baby is beautiful. X' A spokesman for the star has confirmed she gave birth to a healthy baby boy in a Leeds hospital.

JORDAN IS A FLOPSTAR

Jordan's bid to top the charts has failed miserably - reaching number 60. The model has sold only 3 thousand copies of 'Free to Love Again' - despite a weeks worth of TV and appearances plugging it. The chart blow came hours after she was booed by clubbers while performing the song - then suffered further when her backing track started to skip, showing that she wasn't singing live. It hasn't dented her confidence though, Jordan has already announced she wants to replace Cheryl Cole at the V festival, after the X Factor judge fell ill.

WORKAHOLIC KARREN ADMITS SHAMEFUL MISTAKE

Apprentice star Karren Brady is renowned as a workaholic - but even she has branded her return to work three days after giving birth as "shameful". The businesswoman said she thought her career would be in jeopardy otherwise. But in an interview with Hello! magazine she admits she made a mistake not to spend more time bonding with her daughter Sophia, who is now 14. Brady, said: When you're young and in a career, you don't think it will last a lifetime.
 
COLE

Cheryl Cole may be forced to film the 'judges houses' segment of the X Factor in Britain - as she could still be too sick to travel. The judges normally jet away to somewhere exotic to whittle down their finalists. Last year, Cheryl whittled down her finalists in Marrakech. However, as the star continues to recover at home after battling Malaria, it has become clear that producers may have to amend their plans.

BROTHER

Caoimhe has escaped eviction in Big Brother this week after winning the Save and Replace task. The Irish student chose Mario to replace her in the eviction this Friday. Mario will now go head to head with Ife and Corin. Caoimhe was able to save herself after winning a paintball pistol duel against the other nominated housemates.

VINCE VAUGHAN EXPECTING A BABY

Vince Vaughn and his new wife Kyla Weber have announced they are expecting a baby. The pair, who married in a private ceremony in Chicago in January, are said to be 'thrilled' by the news. The star of Wedding Crashers has kept his relationship with the 30-year-old estate agent low key. But he admitted in a recent magazine article that after many years as a bachelor, he's ready for his life 'to be about other people and other things'.

FEARS FOR TV GIRL

Cheryl Tweedy has been ordered by doctors to take a break - according to the Sun newspaper. She's apparently pulled out of the X Factor on medical advice after collapsing at a photoshoot. She's aid to have been working non-stop to try and get over her split with Ashley Cole.

ASHES TO CASHES

Keeley Hawes says she took her new role in a drama series about ID theft, because she'd had her own credit card cloned. The Ashes To Ashes star plays DSI Martha Lawrence in the ITV show Identity. Keeley says a fraudster once ran up a 7-thousand pound bill on her card.

NO MORE SEX IN THE CITY

Carrie and Co are set to hang up their Manolos and finish off their cosmos for good. It's reported that there won't be a third Sex in the City movie, despite the cast originally signing up for a trio of films. The decision has apparently been made after the second film received scathing reviews, Grazia magazine reports that all plans for a third instalment have been shelved.

CORRIE MOVES TO THE BBC

BBC Four has announced an all-star cast for a drama about Coronation Street's 'origins'. Former Eastender Jessie Wallace is set to go from Kat to Pat - playing the part of Pat Phoenix, the actress who played the 'tart with a heart' Elsie Tanner. Other iconic characters used in the one off special include Ena Sharples, Annie Walker and Ken Barlow - the only original cast member still in the soap. The show is being filmed to commemorate the soap's 50th anniversary and will tell the story of how Coronation Street was born and how it brought Salford to life on television screens around the world.

BIG BROTHER

Dave, Sunshine and Shabby were put up for eviction again from the Big Brother house. It is the third consecutive week that wannabe actress Shabby and minister Dave have been selected for the public vote. However, there will be another 'Save and Replace' challenge later, which will allow the trio one final chance to escape eviction and choose another housemate to take their place.

END OF THE PIERS SHOW?

The future of Britain's Got Talent is at risk.

It's been reported that Piers Morgan is set to quit - while Simon Cowell has already said he won't be at the audition rounds any more.

This morning's papers are reporting that Morgan has been offered a series of contracts in the United States worth 12 million pounds.

STRICTLY SHAPING UP

This year's line up for Strictly Come Dancing is taking shape.

Confirmed celebrities include Patsy Kensit and Matthew Wright while Kimberley Walsh, Richard Madeley and former GMTV presenter Penny Smith are all apparently in talks.

Entertainment update - 14th June 2010

The Isle of Wight Festival ended on a high last night, with a performance by Sir Paul McCartney.

55 thousand people attended the festival, which also featured headline sets by The Strokes and Jay-Z.

There was a guest appearance by Kanye West, and Blondie's Debbie Harry was another of the star acts.

Kylie Minogue has revealed what her boyfriend most likes her to wear.

It might not be what you expect but she says he likes her in golf gear and NO make-up.

MOJO AWARDS

Former Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page has been inducted into the Mojo Hall of Fame at the magazine's awards.

Kasabian's track Fire was named song of the year.

Richard Hawley took the best album prize for Truelove's Gutter.

Duane Eddy received the icon award at the ceremony in London.

LADIES' NIGHT

It's Ladies' Night at the Isle of Wight Festival.

Shakespears Sister, Marina and the Diamonds and Suzi Quatro are playing the Big Top.

Also on the bill is Cape Fear and Natural Born Killers actress Juliette Lewis.
