Stephen Ward of the Burrenbeo Trust and Ray Woods of Plantlife joined Gavin on The Today Show to discuss how the Burren may hold the key to saving the planet! Burren in Bloom presents tonight’s talk with Ray who works with Plantlife, a charity group who work to preserve plant life and fungi on the planet.  The talk is entitled ‘The Burren: saviour of the planet and civilization? Eoin Murphy is the Entertainment Editor of the Irish Daily Mail; he joined Gavin live from Azerbaijan as the countdown to Eurovision has begun. The semi-final will take place in Azerbaijan tonight – and will decide whether Jedward will be flying the Tricolour for Ireland in the final on Saturday May 26th. The Dublin twins are getting a lot of attention from the locals, and a group of fans have even been camping outside of their hotel.

Rosemary Power, one of the organisers of this weekend’s Walking at Whitsun event, joined the show to let people know what’s happening in East Clare. The event celebrates spirituality at Whitsun in walking and culture. It’s also free and suitable for all ages and takes place on Saturday 26th.
