Also joining the show was the award winning Cork flute player Conal O Grada.  He spoke to Máire about a new show he’s collaborating on – Mag Mell.  Starring Jon Kenny and a host of Irelands leading traditional musicians, artists, puppeteers and actors, Mag Mell is a hugely entertaining show for all, packed with outrageous humour, brilliant music and groundbreaking theatrics. The show is set on the fabled mythological island of Mag Mell, off the west coast of Ireland and recounts tales from the netherworld of fairies, banshee’s, ghouls and pooka’s encountered on the roads of Ireland at twilight. Mag Mell will be playing at Glór on Friday September 13th. This new show is a unique collaboration between Jon, well-known puppeteer Des Dillon and traditional musicians Benny McCarthy (Danú) and Conal. More info on the show is available from www.magmellshow.com or see www.glor.ie
