1st Sunday in September again looms for Clare supporters
Clare and Kerry Gaa supporters will both be looking at September on their respective calenders in a little amazement this coming week as Clare anticipate their first All irleand final date since the mid 2000's while Kerry must plan other events for the third Sunday of the month.
Clare will be in the presence of history regardless of what happens against Kilkenny but it has been simply an anmazing journey for the minor side and management this year.
From an opening round defeat to an All Ireland semi final and further it cannot go unoticed that this side have undergone a transformation before the Clare public in the space ofa few months!
However the biggest challenge awaits in the Cats.
I said on air that the closeness of the games so far will suit Clare and the fact that Kilkenny got no challenge at all against Galway means that Clare go in as underdogs but having beaten better sides.
The next number of weeks will be crucial as players will need to avoid injury and keep up good form but with Clare on the brink of history there is no doubt September glory can once again return to the Banner!
