The show opened with a discussion of the oral hearing in Limerick of plans by Irish Cement to burn tyres at their plant in Mungret.

With the new Sycamore Suite opening at the Ennistymon Community Nursing Unit, Gavin spoke to some of those involved. Tomsie O’Sullivan, Secretary of Friends of Ennistymon Hospital joined Gavin on the line, along with Minister Jim Daly, the minister for State with responsibility for Mental Health and Older People. Gerardine Quinlivan from Springfield, Clonlara, was Gavin’s next guest. She gave her sympathies to those affected by recent severe flooding in Donegal.
