We had a packed Morning Focus today, covering teachers’ pay, Clare Garden Festival, the new Family Carers Centre opened in Ennis PLUS Live music from Luca Bloom and John Underhill was back to answer your pet-related questions. Catch up below:

Firstly on the show, we were talking about teachers’ pay in light of theongoing union conferences this week. Do teachers get paid enough? We discussed the issue of pay gaps and asked some of the general public what they thought.

Next on the show, FG Senator Martin Conway joined Gavin in studio to talk about why he is pushing to keep history as a mandatory subject at junior cert level.

Clare FM producer Fiona McGarry caught up with some family carers who are appealing for more support from the government, both financial and otherwise.
