The show opened with a discussion of the snap decision by Theresa May to hold a General Election. Pat spoke to Daniel McConnell of the Irish Examiner.

The issue of Donald Trump’s foreign policy, and particularly his interaction with North Korea, was the next topic for discussion. For an expert view, Pat was joined by security analyst Dr Tom Clonan.

With Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann making a welcome return to Ennis this August, Pat heard about a briefing for the business community (Thursday at 6pm at the Temple Gate Hotel). He was joined in studio by Noeleen Fitzgerald, Fleadh Coordinator with Clare County Council.

The possibility of decriminalising the possession of small quantities of drugs was discussed when Pat was joined in studio by Ellen O’Neal a counsellor and Senator Martin Conway, a member of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Justice. Listen back here:
