11 of the 15 Candidates for Ireland South joined John in Studio in Ennis to discuss an array of issues.

All questions posed to the candidates were compiled from letters, emails, text messages and calls from Clare FM listeners in the run up to the debate.

Today’s debate topics included attitudes to Europe in Clare, constituency changes, the size of the new constituency and unemployment.  Other issues raised included agriculture, banking and the bailout, energy and the future of the EU. 

The 15 candidates will fight it out for 4 seats.
