Tuesday’s Morning Focus with John Cooke began by focussing on the success of Clare towns and villages in the Tidy Towns Competition

Ennis was named Ireland’s Tidiest Large Urban Centre for the fifth time in the 55-year history of the National Tidy Towns Competition yesterday – and Chairperson of the Ennis Tidy Towns Committee Aine Purcell
John also spoke with John Harvey, Mountshannon Tidy Towns Committee and Paul Edson, Kilrush Tidy Towns Committee about their Gold awards

Tuamgraney and Kilkee were both awarded Bronze, Tulla received an endeavour award and Sean Lenihan of the Miltown Malbay Tidy Towns Committee was amongst only ten people nationally to be awarded in the Tidy Towns Heroes category.

Today is International Suicide Awareness Day and a group of people in Ennis have organised a vigil at the Fair Green tonight at 8pm
They are calling it "Light up the sky and kick suicide in the ass"

Eileen Downes and Pamela Higgins, both from Ennis, joined John in studio to speak about their personal experience of losing loved ones by suicide
Ennis Town Council member and event coorgansier Paul O’Shea was also in studio to speak about his personal experience

There are almost four hundred committed to attend the event according to the facebook page

The deadline for entries to the FBD Clare Business Excellence Awards is this Friday
The 10 Award Categories cover a wide range of business areas and sectors.  2013 sees in introduction of 2 new Award Categories, namely Start-Up Business of the Year and the Clare Renewable Energy Award

The Ennis Evangelical Church will today be dropping postcards into homes posing the question "If You Could Ask God Just One Question"
They hope that they will reveal the issues most on people’s hearts at this time
