Morning Focus – Tuesday 30/01/18

Tuesday’s edition of Morning Focus was jam packed with great guests and interesting topics.

Gavin discussed the impact of Brexit on local regions with Liadh Ní Riada, SF MEP Ireland South, who was in Ennis this week.

The show opened with Gavin speaking to Councillors James Breen and Michael Begley about the pot hole woes in local areas after the recent bad weather.

To finish the first hour of the show, Gavin welcomed David Leahy, Executive Engineer at Clare County Council onto the show to discuss the illegal dumpings occurring around Clare.

At 10 am, Gavin and Fiona McGarry discussed the initiatives that have been put in place locally to tackle youth offending. They also talked about how to keep children out of crime.

Then, Gavin chatted with Frankie Coote, Clare County Dog Warden.

Before finishing up the second hour of the show, Gavin played some music and addressed some comments from the public.

At 11 am, Gavin spoke to local artist and owner of the Funny Little Gallery, Marianne Slevin. They discussed her art work and her lifestyle.
