Morning Focus – Thursday 20/07/17

With the week drawing to a close, Morning Focus looked a range of issues from sewage odours in a South East Clare estate to arts events happening over the weekend.

The show opened with a discussion of problems at Ballycannon Heights in Meelick where residents say a foul odour from the sewerage plant on site is making them ill. Pat was joined on the line by Cllr Cathal Crowe and by residents Sam Browne and Majella Sheehan. Listen back below:

The issue of alcoholic addiction was next up for discussion. Cllr James Breen joined Pat in studio to explain why he’s backed an initiative to have help line numbers for the AA put on all bottle banks in Clare. Recovering alcoholic ‘Michael’ also shared his story. Listen back below:
