The week got off to a flying start on Morning Focus with a show packed with news – including a focus on the opening of the new ED at University Hospital Limerick, in-depth reporting, sport and music.

The programme opened with a look at the reasons for the closure of one of Ennis’s best loved charity shops – the Clare Haven one in the Gort Road Business Park.

Gavin spoke with Johnny O’Rourke the new manager of Clare Haven, which provides refuge services for women.

Now that the Fine Gael leadership hustings have concluded and members are set to vote, Gavin got an update from Group Political Editor of Independent News and Media (INM), James Mulhall.
