Morning Focus – Monday 14/01/19

There was a special Monday mix of chat, views and interviews on today’s Morning Focus.

The show kicked off with a controversial call from Ennis councillor and former Independent TD, Cllr James Breen, for a vote of no-confidence in Health Minister Simon Harris.

Then, the show looked ahead to the news political term when Gavin was joined by Fianna Fáil TD Timmy Dooley Fine Gael TD Joe Carey.

After that, Eileen O’Malley was Gavin’s guest to tell him about the ‘3 for the Sea’ initiative and how she’s brought it to West Clare in a bid to have every visitor do their bit to remove litter.

Sergeant Tríona O’Rourke then joined Gavin for an update on crime, in the weekly Garda Focus slot.

Community groups were then urged to avail of training in the area of biodiversity thanks to Clare LEADER. Gavin was joined by Gloria Callinan and by Dr Brendan Dunford.

Charlie Landsborough, one of the music industry’s true gentlemen then told Gavin about his farewell tour which comes to Limerick at the end of the month.
