The show opened with a very special behind-the-scenes look at the security operation for the Fleadh. Gavin Grace was given access to the control room at Áras Contae an Chláir.

The Director General of TG4, Alan Esslemont, was Gavin’s next guest. He came to studio in advance of the Legacy Colloquium which take place (Friday, Aug. 18, 2pm) at the Woodstock Hotel and brings together some of the finest cultural practitioners and academics to discuss a range of issues.

After the shocking terror attacks in Spain, Gavin was joined on the line by Aifric O’Neill from Cooraclare who is in Barcelona at the moment and by her friend Ronan O’Donnell from Mayo who’s part of the group travelling in Spain.

Caoimhín Ó Sé then popped in with his daily update of forthcoming Fleadh highlights and the Friday lunchtime session on Clare FM.

The Friday Panel this week was comprised of Margaret O’Brien (Ennis Chamber), Douglas Hurley (DNG O’Sullivan Hurley) and Clare FM’s own, inimitable, Brian Flynn. Listen back below:
