Morning Focus – Friday, 10th May 2019

Today on Morning Focus, we had news from across the county. We heard about hospitals lacking life-saving treatments, the TWO clashes between Clare and Waterford this weekend, as well as Darkness into light walks up and down the county. Catch up with the best bits below:

First on the show, Carmel Finnegan told us about her campaign to bring ‘brain cooling’ into all 19 of Ireland’s maternity hospitals. The treatment is a life-saving one for babies during/after birth and Finnegan wants to make the facility available in each maternity hospital.

Next on the show, Colin Ryan former Clare All Ireland winner spoke to Gavin about Clare taking on Waterford on the double this weekend. The two counties’ footballers will face each other tomorrow evening for the Munster Championship Quarter Final and on Sunday, the eagerly awaited clash between hurlers at Waterford’s Walsh Park. We will have live coverage of both events on Clare FM.
