Friday’s Morning Focus opened with a special report by Gavin who travelled to Kilmaley for the launch by Minister Michael Ring of Clare County Council’s groundbreaking plan for rural areas.
The new Rural Development Plan aims to create 4,000 new jobs in the next ten years. Gavin spoke to Pat Spillane, Leonard Cleary and Minister Ring; while reaction came from rural activist, Jim Connolly.
Next up for discussion was the fact that the number of entrants to the priesthood has fallen to a new low. Gavin was joined by Fr Brendan Quinlivan, Communications Officer for the Diocese of Killaloe. Listen back below:
