The show opened with a discussion of how recent changes to Shannondoc services in Killaloe, Kilrush and Ennistymon are impacting. While a review conducted by the GP co-op reports positivity from patients and doctors, Pat heard concerns from the group ‘Reinstate Shannondoc’. Deirdre Culligan took issue with a number of the review’s findings.

The ASTI has voted to avoid strike action next month, but will withdraw from certain school duties in September. Pat spoke to regional representative Peter Quinn.

Ahead of the clash this weekend of Munster and Saracens, Pat spoke with Marcus Horan, former Munster and Ireland prop.

Corofin Drama Society are on their way to the All-Ireland Drama Festival and ahead of that, some of its members came to studio to perform an extract from The Cripple of Inishmaan. Listen back below:

Pat then heard from Dr David Fleming at UL who’s working with a group in Clare to preserve the Cornelius O’Brien pillar in Liscannor, close to St Brigid’s Well.

Deirdre Clune, the MEP for FG in Ireland South was Pat’s next guest. She’s concerned about the possible impact on Shannon Airport after a drone closed the facility at Cork for a time yesterday.
