Honan emerges as injury doubt for All Ireland final

Clare U21 management  will be hoping for good news on the injury front today  as they await the results of scans on Darach Honans injured hamstring whcih could force him to miss the All Ireland final

The Clonalara clubman is due to undergo tests today with management hopeful the giant forward will be fit for the Croke Park decider with Kilkenny in 12 days time.

The forward who bagged 2 goals in the semi final win over Galway says  everyone in the squad is very focused on the Croke Park clash despite  the injuries.

Honan’s injury is just one of a number of concerns that John Minogue and his management have ahead of the Septemeber 13 clash.

Cathal Chaplin has a broken finger but is expected to be fit to play against the Lenister champsions while Colin Ryan sat out training  last night with a slight hamstring strain.

Certainly ruled out of the game is Cratloe forward Sean Collins who suffered a fractured shoulder in club championship action over the weekend.

The player who scored the opening point in the semi final win over Galway has been ruled out for at least six weeks.
