December sentence in Clayton Hotel Holdup

 

A 28 year old Galway man is due to be sentenced in December for robbing former Clare Football Manager Frank Doherty and imprisoning him and two others at gunpoint.

David Vallot of Altan Apartments on Western Distributor Road has pleaded guilty to the hold up at the Clayton Hotel in Galway last February and stealing over 17 hundred euro.

He has also admitted to falsely imprisoning manager Frank Doherty and two other members of staff and to having an imitation handgun in his possession with intent to commit a robbery.

Appearing before Galway Circuit Criminal Court yesterday Judge Raymond Groarke adjourned sentencing until the 11th of December and remanded Vallot on continuing bail.
