Swine Flu fears due to repeated disruption to school water supply

The principal of Doora National School says the ongoing problem of interruptions to their water supply simply isn’t good enough.

The supply has been cut off several times in the past school year without warning and despite hopes it would be fixed by September, they had further issues last Monday, due to a nearby burst watermain

Senior Engineers at Clare County Council say there are issues with the network but they are trying to resolve them.

But in the meantime pupils are left without adequate hand washing facilities which are needed to stave off infections like swine flu.
