A Garda investigation is underway following a complaint from a young woman in Ennis, who became aware that intimate pictures of her were posted in a Facebook messenger group.
Gardaí say this has been extremely distressing for the girl and that they are working to establish the facts.
They’re warning that images can be stolen from private social media accounts and cloud storage accounts.
