Clare County Council has agreed to seek further funding to improve road safety measures at a busy East Clare junction.
Fianna Fáil Councillor Pat Hayes brought the motion on Henchys Cross near Clooney to a local area meeting for a project he says is long overdue.
The junction coming on to the R352 is used by hundreds of vehicles a day, and the former Clare Mayor says at present it is extremely dangerous.
