Fatal Crash Victim Named Locally

A man who died in a car crash in Clare over the Bank Holiday weekend has been named locally.

84-year-old Michael Crowe, from Newmarket on Fergus, lost his life in a two car collision on the Main Ennis to Kilrush Road at Cahercallamore, at around 2.30 yesterday afternoon.

He was taken to University Hospital Limerick with serious injuries and was later pronounced dead.

The female driver and a female passenger, were also taken to hospital where they were treated for injuries that were not serious, while the driver and passenger of the second car were not injured.
