Irish Water Called On To Outline Timeline Of Works For Miltown Malbay

Irish Water is being called on to outline a timeline for works aimed at addressing persistent water supply issues in Miltown Malbay.

The utility has completed it’s latest round of repair works to the mains system in the West Clare town last evening, after a burst water main resulted in another outage.

Many residents in and around the town have complained of discoloured water, or even no water at all, at various intervals in recent weeks.

Irish Water plans to overhaul the entire system, but Fianna Fáil Councillor Shane Talty says clarity is needed on when that will happen.

Local Businessman Eddie Keane of The Old Bakehouse Restaurant has been telling Clare FM’s Fiona Cahill that it’s impacted heavily on local trade.
