Concern About Planned Pedestrianisation Of Ennis Town Centre For Christmas

Concern is being expressed about the scale of road closures being considered for peak shopping times in Ennis this Christmas.

O’Connell Street is already pedestrianised for weekends in the lead up to December 25th to allow shoppers to carry out errands in safety.

But this year, Clare County Council has submitted a notice of intention to close Salt House Lane and High Street, restricting access at peak times for all traffic.
