Concern Over Drop In Number Of New Blood Donors In Clare

Concern is being expressed about a fall-off in the number of new blood donors in Clare in recent years.

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is back in Treacy’s West County Hotel in Ennis this week and next, and is appealing to those living here to come forward and donate.

Just 5% of the population are regular blood donors despite over 1,000 donations being issued at hospitals around the country each week.
