Clare SVP Seriously Concerned About Costs Of Educating A Child

Calls are being made for an increased funding to help the parents of teenagers.

It comes as new figures show it costs €50 more per week to provide for the ‘minimum socially acceptable standard’ of living for secondary school children.

Data provided by the Vincentian Partnership for Social Justice suggests that the total cost stands at €122, and are calling for an additional five euro in child benefit payments for the parents of children aged 12 and over.
